One of my very, very, very favourites, this is a nostalgic look back at the summer of a ten-year-old lad whose life isn’t so hot nowadays. With a huge nod to XTC’s Colin Moulding, a chap who is very good at evoking very English personal times in his super duper song writing. I am proud of this one as a well crafted, unusually orchestrated song with lots of interesting harmonic things appearing here and there. If you look really close at this one you will find Slade bits, a Genesis big chorus song chord set, and little shades of Madness...
