This one is easily one of the most peculiar of the lot so far. With nothing special in mind, I started with some raggy acoustic guitar and added some insistent, lumpy drum loops.

Then I was thinking about how sometimes people say ‘don’t ask me about my operation, because I don’t want to talk about it’ and then they talk about it anyway, because what they wanted to do in the first place was talk about it. Or their imminent house move. Or their views on immigration. Or any other old claptrap that happens to be cluttering their brain cells.

The lyric is a surprise and a gift from me to me: a completely improvised first take - no run throughs, no practicing - just me, warbling away, alphabetically listing things from the animal kingdom as they appeared or were assiduously summoned up from the contents of my head. It is a happy and somewhat bemusing coincidence that I got to the end of the alphabet around the same time as the music was finishing. I think they call it fortuitous synergy. Or luck.
