Pay attention, this might be tricky for me to explain. And put your earphones in please.

I set about recording six guitar tracks, one for each individual string of the guitar. Each track was me playing single notes, one note at a time, on a single string. I followed a strict chord sequence/rhythm, effectively creating chords by multi-tracking plucked single notes rather than by strumming. I then panned the tracks across the stereo, fading their volumes in and out, trying to create the sonic illusion that each string was coming forward, moving across the stereo, then going off into the distance before reappearing on the opposite side of the stereo image.

This struck me as unusual idea, not an approach I’d encountered before. I thought it might be amazing, but I found the result underwhelming. I added a few bits of melody, lost interest, but thought I‘d share it anyway. So here it is, you lucky, lucky person...

The title came about because, frankly, I’ve had just about all I can take of Lords a-leaping...
