I quite like the sound of an electric guitar recorded acoustically - you get a kind of skinny, scratchy noised and lots of percussive plectrum cracks. So here are two acoustically recorded electric guitars playing some simple chords in a 7/8 rhythm.

Then I added a number of ukuleles, some of them playing very different rhythms to the guitars. This set up some interesting tensions; sometimes the instruments seem to be playing together and other times they contradict each other rhythmically. It’s almost like a gang of polite pals running the same race but occasionally tripping each other up or going into a hop or two.

This was quite hard to play, and I had to concentrate on the pulse before I could even get near it. Seven seeds: seven instruments, occasional odd sounds (what are they?) and that’s that.
