This cautionary tale’s lyric is based on the experiences of a friend of mine. He stupidly believed that replacing his old furniture and carpets with clean, new Scandinavian items would somehow persuade his ex to magically reverse her decision to leave him, to return, to sit, having lovely evenings together, for a whole lifetime, enjoying the simple yet elegant lines of the new facade.
“What, what, what, what
What, what, what, went wrong?”
He asks himself over and over again
All he can think of was
