I started with a set of percussive synth sounds that I worked into a rhythm, using lots of synced echoes, and added a series of gentle, dreamy sounding chords, and some odd noises.

A lot of folks have a favourite place they go to, sometimes in real life, sometimes in their daydreams. This is a song based around a river that I like to visit when the weather is good. When I go there I prefer that there are no other people around, although I may tolerate the lone fisherman or wandering farm worker. Funny how easily we can get territorial about a place that we have no actual claim to other than our own attachment.

The chords in the chorus are inspired by (that means nicked from) a favourite song of mine, a Genesis song. Can you name that tune?
