I had a dream about visiting my friend, Fish, in Portugal. I woke up sort of singing the first line and quickly got the tune of the chorus following on.
As I progressed with the music, I remembered another dream I’d had recently about being at the zoo with Jack Nicholson, so I put that in the lyric. Suddenly Michael Caine appeared as well.
We say goodbye to people many times in our lifetime, and I thought I’d use some of mine up here, saying ‘so-long’ and ‘ta-ta’ in the chorus.
I really like the rumbling drums and how they feed the echo and I also find myself somewhat enamoured with the rhythm of the synth bass line. Yes I do.
Any dreams you care to share about celebrity zoo encounters?

lyrics
Gone to the fishy place In my dream
At the zoo with Michael Caine
Now Jack Nicholson’s here as well
But I ate my toes instead
Gone to the fishy place in my dream
Gone to the fishy place In my dream
Nothing is ever quite what it seems
Gone to the fishy place in my dream
At the zoo with Michael Caine
At the zoo with Michael Caine
Where did he go to? I’ll explain
At the zoo with Michael Caine
So long, so long, so long
I wave ta-ta, so long
So long, so long, so long
I wave ta-ta, so long
Now Jack Nicholson’s here as well
Now Jack Nicholson’s here as well
He’s dressed up like William Tell
Now Jack Nicholson’s here as well
Gone to the fishy place in my dream
Gone to the fishy place in my dream
Nothing is ever quite what it seems
Gone to the fishy place in my dream
So long, so long, so long
I wave ta-ta, so long
So long, so long, so long
I wave ta-ta, so long
Thought my knees were made of bread
Thought my knees were made of bread
But I ate my toes instead
Thought my knees were made of bread
At the zoo with Michael Caine
At the zoo with Michael Caine
He went away and came back again
Where did he go to? I’ll explain
To get umbrella in case it rains
So long, so long, so long
I wave ta-ta, so long
So long, so long, so long
I wave ta-ta, so long

floated round and round the planet, looking for a place to call home. After a long time of searching and wishing and watching, the idea chose to make a nest in the brain of a bushy fellow, coming to his aid and guiding him out of the doldrums, back to a magical pathway......more
