I wanted to try something that sounded as if it had been grown in Anthony Phillips’ musical garden.

I set about recording four unprocessed electric guitars, moving them around a simple chord sequence, prompted by two bits of tune I had found that I thought could make friends. A spot of improvisation around the tunes, and that was that.

The title comes from the sound; every time I pick these guitars they make little bubbles of sound.
