I was noodling about and reversed the waveforms in ‘albania by torchlight’. Still being very solid and rhythmic when played backwards, each loop revealed interesting new rhythmic patterns. I added a series of ethnic loops to complement the guitars as they come and go one by one.

I quite like the strange tensions and releases that happened as you try to follow individual notes, melodies or loops. A good mix of backwards and forwards bits and something a little bit unusual – a pleasant surprise.

The title? Google ‘Albania and Norman Wisdom’ and you will find an interesting if somewhat unlikely tale. Enough said about that.

Norman Wisdom was a lovely chap and he made me laugh. Thank you, Norman.
