I took one of my favourite classical tunes and put the various instruments onto sounds in my Absynth 5 software. Changed a few bits, mixed and remixed things, and finally arrived here.

The challenge was to create a new mood from a very familiar piece using new sounds. I sped things up a bit too, and am quite pleased with the result. It’s not genius by a long chalk, but it’s interesting for what it is. And it is what it is, as is everything that is. Or isn’t. Eh?

Very influenced here by Walter/Wendy Carlos, probably best known for early Moog synth renditions of classical pieces, and involvement with naughty Stanley on his extraordinary film, A Clockwork Orange. If you like this, follow your mousey nose and get Googling Carlos, who is a fascinating character/musician. The first and possibly the best of the bunch? I reckon so.
